Apple issued a Quick Time update today that addresses a number of security vulnerabilities in the media player and its Web plug-in.
This update is only for Windows-based machines that have Quick Time installed, since Mac systems have had this update applied in recent security updates for OS X.
Connect the i Pad to a PC to download and install the update with the help of i Tunes.
Back up your files and make sure i Tunes is up to date before you perform the i Pad software update. Left-click on the i Pad under the Devices section on the left side of the i Tunes window if you enabled the "Show Sidebar" option in i Tunes 11.
